My name is Aidan Bodsworth.
I was a summer student working here at K-Net Services. I am also a friend of Peggy Sanders in Sioux Lookout. Peggy Sanders has been taking pictures and knitting baby bonnets for the mothers and babies from the north since 1969 or 1970. She has a collection of pictures from every northern community nearby. As a summer job I have been assigned to take the pictures from Fort Severn and to put them up in a digital format. These pictures will be linked to present day pictures which still have to be taken and stories, quotes and factual information provided by the people in the pictures. I have finished scanning in the pictures and placed them into a knet gallery. I am planning to fly up to Fort Severn during the summer (probably on between the 21st and 25th) to gather a number of stories to post on the site.
The purpose of this project is to create a digital archive that will contain stories, pictures and a history of Fort Severn. That will in turn help to raise community pride and spirit. You can get to the pictures by going to and going to the Mothers (and their Children) of Fort Severn. Your baby picture is in that gallery.
I hope that that will clear things up a bit,
Aidan Bodsworth
